| Partners |
The Center works closely with a broad range
of partners within and beyond LaGuardia, including the LaGuardia
Senate Committee on Professional Development, to ensure the
high quality facilities, resources, consultation, and assistance,
that are critical to the success of our programs: We work
closely with the Division of Information Technology to coordinate and optimize access
to computer labs and network resources. The Center partners with the CIS Department's New Media Technology program to assist with the program's needs to train Math and English faculty to support new media. The funding for this faculty development was provided in part by the National Science Foundation's Advanced Technology Education directive for undergraduate education, grant #0101707. We collaborate with
the Library,
in delivering workshops on online research and copyright,
producing video documentation, and developing policy guidelines;
we design public events and workshops in partnership with
LaGuardia's Teaching,
Learning, and Technology Roundtable (TLTR), which is part
of a national network committed to developing a broad understanding
of possibilities and challenges associated with new educational
technologies; and we exchange resources and expertise with
the Division
of Adult and Continuing Education (ACE), which serves
over 25,000 students each year with a variety of programs
and services.
