Dedicated Computer Lab in E255
Wireless Lab in the Writing Center

The Center aims to provide faculty
with a rich environment for professional development. Faculty
who participate in our programs have access to the following
equipment and facilities:
Dedicated lab (E255) equipped with a full range of instructional
technology resources, including a magic board and LCD projector,
2 scanners, and 13 Dell computers. The lab is staffed by Student
Technology Mentors who are available to assist faculty on
a walk-in basis.
Loanable laptops and peripherals, including digital cameras
and Zip drives.
Extensive library of books related to pedagogy and technology.
Licensed web design and course management software (e.g.,
Macromedia Dreamweaver, Speakeasy). Available by request.
In addition, the Center has contributed heavily to the development
of learning resources on campus, including the design and
installation of the wireless computer lab at the Writing Center,
which utilizes the compactness and mobility of wireless laptops
to create a fluid connection between technology and pedagogy. |

The E255 lab is available as a meeting space on a limited
basis. To request a reservation, please send contact
Aarkieva Smith, asmith@lagcc.cuny.edu.
Please specify the name of meeting, date, time, technical
requirements, and your contact information and title.
One week advance notice is required.
