I am Yun Jung. I came here two years
ago. It was difficult to make the decision about coming here.
My parents didn't allow me to come here. The first reason was
that they worried about me living alone because here were not
any relatives and friends and I had never lived apart my family.
If I studied at college here, it would be take 4 years at least
and my parents couldn't afford for me to study, so I would have
to earn money by myself. These things also made me afraid. It
would change my life totally.
However, the
hope to study here overcame these difficulties. The reason why
I want to study here was that I couldn't study film in my country
because my parents didn't want. They believed working and succeeding
as camera director was very hard and difficult. The other reason
was I really desired to study film so I wished to study in better
circumstances.
I promised my parents as lie to go back to
my country a year after finishing the language course. Finally,
they let me go. Until now, I feel sorry that I lie to them so
I make an effort to succeed with my dream. If they see my success,
they would understand me and be happy.
I am happy now because even though this
is my first semester, I learned many things to achieve my goal
and I feel closer to my dream. If I become a camera director,
I will make films to give people hope
