Hi, this is Tanzin Islam. I had a terrible accident on February 20, 2005. It was Sunday. I was driving the yellow cab and I was coming from Newark airport in N.J. My sit belt saved me. This was the first and terrible accident in my life. I will never forget it.

Tanzin:- ooh it’s 4am, my phone was ringing. It’s very hard to get up at 4am. I was ready within 15 min. at that time my friend called me.
Shishir:- hi are you ready.
Tanzin :- yes I am. I was going to Liberty garage. Every Saturday and Sunday I rent the car from the garage. This Sunday I took the car at 4.45am, than I went to the gas station and I put $20 gas in my car. I crossed over the 59th street Bridge and got in Manhattan at 5am. I was looking for the customer. At 5.10am I got the customer on 5th Av & 20th street. Usually Friday and Saturday night maximum people are drank at late night. My customer was little drank too.
Customer:- hi good morning.
Tanzin:- good morning. Where you wan a go?
Customer:- stop…. Looking. Take me to 96 street &1 Av.
Tanzin:- I drop the customer. After that I looking for another customer, but I did not get because Sunday before 9 am is very hard to get the customers. I went to in font of the Marriott hotel. 30 min, I was waiting for the customer. Doorman was calling.
Doorman:- hi, could u take him to Newark airport.
Tanzin:- sure. Get in.
Customer:- good morning. Ooh cold out side.
Tanzin:- yea it’s 19 degree than I talk about the Newark airport fair.
Customer:- I have no idea, tall me how much.
Tanzin:- it’s meter rats + $15 + toll. Than I crossed over the Lincoln tunnel and took the N.J T.P south. Within 20 min I got the Newark airport. I dropped him the terminal “A” American Airlines.
Customer:- oh it’s $68. Take $70. Save drive, bye.

Tanzin:- I was going back to the Manhattan city. I took the N.J T.P north when I close to the hollen tunnel; the high way was little carve. At that time my car string was locked. I had no time to do anything. My car first hit the side railing on the front. Second hit the backside and third hit the front side. Three times I hit the side railing. Within 10 min police and ambulance came on the sport. They took me to the hospital. I was lucky for my sit belt.
