My Story

...I was born in Quito, Ecuador in 1969. I grew up in a big city. My father was a salesman of merchandise. My mother took care of me and my brothers and sisters. I went to elementary school in my city. I liked school because I made many friends. I go to high school because I had to help of my brothers and sister. When I was 27, I left Quito, Ecuador and came to United States. Now I live in New York City. I am happy to be in the United States because life easier and I have more opportunities for education, many jobs and a good future.

An Important Person in My Life

...In my life, my brother was very important. His name is Patricio. He is 48 years old and his profession is accountant. He was very important in my life because with the help of him, I finished college in my country, Ecuador. With his help, I obtained my first job in Ecuador. He was the one who gave me the money for the trip to the United States.
...My parents were very poor and my brother was working to help every family member including three brothers and two sisters. My parents were very sick and my brother, with my help when I started to work, were helping to buy their medicines. In short, my brother was the support for every family member. He was a very good person with my family.
