My
Story
...I was born in 1975 in a small
city of El Salvador. A few years later when I was five years old
my father decided to move to a city named San Salvador. I started
to study primary and secondary. Then I went to high school, so
I began high school when I was 15 years old. While I was studying
in high school, my father sent me to learn mechanic. It wasn’t
easy for me to study and learn a profession, but now I feel so
good because I work as a mechanic.
Education
...I
remember when I was a little child and I was studying in the first
grade. My teacher used to say that education starts at home with
our families. Now I agree with that expression. My father never
let me do whatever I wanted. They always taught me the right way
of education. I remember when my father or my mother said, “If
you want to watch television or go outside to play with your friends,
you have to do your homework first.” I remember that I said
that my father did not love me. Also every Sunday I had to go
to church because my mother used to say, “The week has seven
days, and we have to thank God at least one day for our health
and to be alive.” I also think another important thing that
my father taught me was to respect people, especially older people.
That’s something which helps me a lot everyday because you
have to respect people. You pay attention when someone is talking
to you or suggesting something.
