DAY SIX Joan meets HSW at the door of the office, and suggests that she attend a meeting about the development of a new shelter which is about to occur. Wilma will be there, too. There has been some neighborhood opposition to the new shelter. A Councilwoman and other leaders are meeting with a representative of the Human Resources Administration, which is sponsoring the shelter. The initial greetings to the HRA representative are not very friendly. But as the conversation moves along, Mr. Slatnick, the representative, is able to enlist every person there to join the advisory board of the shelter. Soon the discussion is about when the first meeting of the advisory board will be held. Wilma and HSW discuss Mr. Slatnick's skillful tactics as the Day comes to a close.
