Fall 2023 Candidates for Graduation

Students who completed all of their academic program requirements by the conclusion of the Fall 2023 semester should have received an email from Parchment Services on Friday, May 3, 2024 to their preferred email address on CUNYfirst with a link to download a digital diploma. In the next few weeks, your physical diploma will be sent via USPS mail to the mailing address indicated on CUNYfirst.

Winter/Spring/Summer 2024 Candidates for Graduation

Students who completed all of their academic program requirements as of the conclusion of the Winter/Spring 2024 terms or anticipate completing them at the conclusion of the Summer 2024 session will receive an email from Parchment Services to their CUNYfirst preferred email address 3-4 months after their graduation conferral date. A few weeks afterwards, a physical diploma will be mailed to your CUNYfirst mailing address.

All Graduates

Be sure your full name, preferred email and mailing address are accurate and up to date in CUNYfirst, so you can receive your diploma in a timely manner. Keep in mind that your primary name (the legal name as listed on your birth certificate, passport, driver’s license/state ID, etc.) will appear on your diploma – not your preferred name. Also, your degree (Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, Associate in Applied Science, or Certificate) will appear on your diploma - not your major/program of study.

Note: if you have a "Financial Aid Exit Interview" or a “Bursar Transcript Hold” on your CUNYfirst account, your diploma will not be released until the requirements for the interview or hold to be removed are satisfied, as follows:

Financial Aid Exit Interview – Log into https://studentaid.gov/exit-counseling/ to complete the online exit counseling interview. The purpose of the exit counseling interview is to ensure you understand your student loan obligations and are prepared for repayment. Upon completion of the exit counseling, the graduate should notify Mr. Irvin Roff in the Office of Financial Services at IRoff@qcc.cuny.edu and he will confirm completion. If confirmed, the hold will be removed and you can request that your diploma be released by the Office of Graduation Audit at GradAudit@qcc.cuny.edu.

Bursar Transcript Hold (Unreturned Loaner Device) – You must return the loaner device given to you by QCC to the Office of Information Technology (Administration Building – Room 303). Upon return, the hold will be removed by the Office of the Bursar and you can request that your diploma be released by the Office of Graduation Audit at GradAudit@qcc.cuny.edu.
