Announcement: Updates from the Office of Research

The Office of Research welcomes Dr. Moni Chauhan as the campus Research Integrity Officer (RIO), responsible for promoting Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) through training and education at the college and for implementing CUNY’s Research Misconduct policy

 Dr. Moni Chauhan will also represent the college in the following roles:


Dean Michael Pullin will serve as the college representative on the CUNY Council of Administrators for Research Success (CARS)

Dr. Regina Sullivan will serve as the Director of the CUNY Research Scholars Program (CRSP)

Dr. Sharon Lall-Ramnarine will serve as the college representative on the CUNY Office of Research Faculty Advisory Council (ORFAC)

Dr. Sarbani Ghoshal and Dr. Roumen Vragov will serve as the Co-Chairs of the QCC Research Committee

This webinar will present a “walk-through at the RF” for Faculty and Grants Administrators, from
award account set up and web reports, to processing expenses, to how the RF assists with financial
reporting and closeout. The walk-through will provide an overview of the RF and all its units.

A “limited submission” is a funding opportunity for which the sponsor limits the number of proposals it
will accept from an institution. The Office of Research has developed a process to ensure that CUNY
submits its most competitive proposals to limited submission opportunities that are one per University
system. Other limited submission opportunities are one per college or subject to other restrictions.
This webinar will introduce a new University-wide web-based limited submission resource.

With the support of the Office of Grants/Sponsored Programs, we identify grant opportunities for faculty, facilitate the submission of all sponsored grant proposals on behalf of QCC, enrich students’ research experiences, and promote research integrity.
