Purchasing Department
Mission Statement
While adhering to State Education Procurement Law and CUNY's Procurement Policies and Procedures, and in support of the College's Strategic Plan, the primary mission of the Purchasing Department provides direct support to the educational mission of the college by assisting departments in obtaining products and services of a high quality, at the lowest possible price, and on a timely basis. In order to provide the highest quality of service to its customers, Purchasing is innovative in its approach to problem solving. We are proactive when anticipating and meeting the needs of the people and departments we serve. We strive to seek alternate ways to accomplish our mission—given the restraints on resources, both human and material, which continue to prevail. Each purchasing associate takes ownership of his/ her particular job, and is always thinking of ways to better their performance.
