Steering Committee Suggested Charges/Committee Goals
The Committee’s Annual Report is thorough and follows the provided template with detailed descriptions of how charges and tasks were addressed in the 2022-2023 academic year. We appreciate your including which charges and committee efforts are complete, incomplete, and in progress. Doing so greatly assists incoming committee members as they become acclimated to your committee’s work, and helps to provide focus for the coming academic year. Well done!
The CCAR should continue to convert its documents to the new webpage format. The Steering Committee appreciates our shared commitment of these necessary updates in the interest of transparency.
Providing links to cultural websites wherein faculty scholarship included use of the QPAC, KHC, and QCC Art Gallery, in lieu of establishing a committee repository, may be prudent if those websites clearly display such scholarship with sufficient documentation as determined by the CCAR. However, the CCAR should be willing to investigate how such faculty scholarship is included in those cultural centers’ websites, and establish a list of such scholarship if the committee determines it is insufficiently documented or if the faculty engaging in such scholarship requests that it be listed on the CCAR website. The CCAR should make it known to the QCC faculty that it is an option for their scholarship to be documented on the CCAR website. This list can be established without need for a formal repository, but can be added as an additional list and updated each academic year on the CCAR webpage index.
In the 2023-2024, please continue to report to the Academic Senate on the donation of all art and design objects for the campus, as well as all grants and funding received by the QCC Art Gallery, the QPAC, and the KHC.
In the 2023-2024 academic year, seek and facilitate student participation in the CCAR. A Committee Represenation Preference Form will be sent to already-elected student senators during the first week of the semester, and to the remaining roster of senators culled from Club officers by the end of September. Students will be given a link to your committee's webpage, so make sure the webpage has chair/secretary contact information on it, including meetings times where possible.
