As a new transfer student, you are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships upon acceptance to Adelphi University. If you are eligible, you’ll receive a Scholarship Letter from the Office of University Admissions. To maximize your eligibility for financial aid, transfer students are encouraged to file the FAFSA before the priority deadline.
Adelphi University offers generous transfer merit scholarships, awarded to full-time students transferring from Queensborough Community College and offer additional opportunities for scholarship consideration:
- The Adelphi University Community College Partnership Award is an additional $1,000 scholarship offered to new, full-time transfer students from Queensborough Community College who have obtained an AAS, AA or AS and qualify for an academic or performing/fine arts talent scholarship.
- Talent scholarships are available for qualified students majoring in performing and visual arts: music, art, dance and theatre.
- Alumni scholarships are available for children or grandchildren of an alumnus/a of Adelphi.
- Members of Phi Theta Kappa may also be considered for the Phi Theta Kappa Award and Phi Theta Kappa Select Award.
