Jacqueline Schiller Fund Scholarship

Fourteen scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each.


Eligibility Criteria:

The Jacqueline Schiller Fund was established by The New York Community Trust to provide scholarships to currently matriculating CUNY students in the fields of literature and/or history (this includes language, and art history majors) who are among the best and brightest and who demonstrate financial need.

Selection Criteria:

Applications will be reviewed keeping in mind the financial need of applicants.

Application Materials/Process:

Students are required to complete an application form including:

1. One to two paragraphs regarding their college/community activities (e.g., leadership roles, campus activities, community service) that demonstrate their strengths and abilities outside of the classroom.

2. A personal statement (approximately 500 words) responding to the following prompt: "Describe your academic accomplishments, and what event/s or experience/s inspired you to pursue studies in Literature and/or History.

3. A copy of their transcript.
