NYU CCTOP (New York University Community College Transfer Opportunity Program)

This renewable scholarship ranges from $8,000 to $20,000 per year, based on financial need.
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Nomination required by a faculty member or administrator at their community college.
2. Be enrolled at a participating community college.
3. Have a 3.0 cumulative GPA at the community college.
4. GPAs and credits required vary between NYU’s programs. At minimum, you must have 60 transferable credits and a 3.0 GPA.
5. Exceptions to this are detailed below.
6. Must submit Transfer application by deadline.
Notes:
1. NYU cannot sponsor visas for CCTOP students.
2. Meeting all eligibility requirements does NOT guarantee applicants a CCTOP scholarship award, even if they are admitted to NYU.
3. CCTOP program partners with several divisions at NYU. You must be applying to a major within one of these divisions to apply:
- NYU College of Arts and Science (Humanities Programs)
- NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development
- NYU Silver School of Social Work
- NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing
- NYU School of Professional Studies-Division of Applied Undergraduate Studies
- NYU Tisch School of the Arts BFA in Interactive Media Arts
Application Materials/Process:
The Common Application is required for students applying as transfers to CCTOP. Please ensure that you complete the Common Application for Transfer Students. You must also:
1. Receive a nomination from one of our partnership schools
2. Complete the transfer student application
3. Prospective students interested in the Rory Meyers College of Nursing must complete 64 liberal arts and science prerequisite credits prior to entry and hold a 3.5 GPA at a CCTOP partnership institution to be eligible for the CCTOP scholarship.
4. SPS—DAUS is tailored to transfer, adult, and other students who may have delayed starting college or are looking to complete their degree; please visit sps.nyu.edu for information on application and financial aid processes. In addition, SPS—DAUS students must have completed at least one year of full-time study or have earned 30 consecutive credits at a partnership school; have a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA; and have earned a minimum of 60 transferable credits toward an SPS—DAUS degree program.
5. Complete the FAFSA by the deadline (required).
Note:
1. The nomination process gets you a fee waiver for the application.
2. All applicants are required to submit sealed, official transcripts from high school and all colleges attended.
3. SAT or ACT results not required for transfer applicants with more than 30 earned college credits.
4. Personal statements should be personal, and brief. It should be 250-260 works talking about yourself. Focus on who you are through your goals and aspirations.
5. An audition or portfolio is required for art and music programs at the Steinhardt School
