Financial Award based on need, renewable for up to four years.


Eligibility Criteria:

1) Must be enrolled or intending to enroll at an accredited college or university based in the United States, including Hawaii and Alaska.
2) Must be "out" as a person who identifies as a member of the LGBTQ community.
3) Must be transferring to a four-year college or university.
4) Students intending to enroll in a college or university in a United States territory, online program or trade school are not eligible.

Note: Scholars must:
1) Maintain full-time enrollment for the academic year.
2) Be enrolled in a degree-granting undergraduate program.
3) If selected as a finalist, the finalist must be able to record a video for the Points Selection Committee. More details provided to those who reach the finalist stage.
4) Be able to attend Point National Leadership Conference in Person in Los Angeles in the summer.

Applicants are not required to submit any standardized test scores such as the SAT and ACT.

Selection Criteria:

Semifinalists will be contacted after the application window closes and ask for supplemental materials and video interviews.
Finalists will be notified two months after the application window closes. Submit additional materials.
Recipient will be notified three months after the application window closes.

Additional Benefits:

A group mentoring experience is provided to support both academic and professional success.
Leadership Development is offered via LGBTQ leaders at Point's National Leadership Conference and virtual programming throughout the year.
