Being a community college scholarship recipient means more than getting financial support for your college tuition and fees. Point Community College Scholars are provided support from Point staff and volunteers, and through educational and social events throughout their time as a scholar.
Coaching: Point matches community college scholarship students with coaches who can help students navigate the transfer process to a college or university and provide additional student support. We facilitate an introduction and set up three to four virtual meetings throughout the academic year.
Transfer Symposium: Students will attend workshops and presentations to better understand the transfer process, build knowledge and connect with the scholarship recipient class. Workshops will focus on topics such as: crafting a personal statement, building a resume, navigating financial aid, and picking the right school for you.
